This also enhances the trials' speed by ensuring the right justice. Artificial Intelligence or AI has evolved big time in recent years, so the uses of AI are not just restricted to storing records. Still, humans widely use this particular technology by evolving the technology to act like them. Role of AI in the judicial system

Industry experts say that AI can widely be utilized in the existing judicial system effectively as this can very strongly facilitate the judges tackle the court's issues. The application of AI will help considerably lessen the numerous pending cases where the victims are awaiting justice for a long time. In today's world, the legal companies & lawyers are increasingly using AI in drafting & making notes and reviewing the longer documents like the legal contracts in a lesser time compared to the humans. 

Drafting the long legal contracts is being done with a process called contract intelligence, also known as COIN. This utilizes artificial intelligence. The accuracy level achieved in drafting the legal contracts by COIN procedure is 86.6%, whereas human lawyers achieved an accuracy level of just 66.3%. 

As per the experts from the judicial fraternity, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is certainly the upcoming future of the Judicial System in India. This has the ability of improving the overall efficiency and sustainability of the judicial system, but at the same time, this can never tend to replace the knowledge, wisdom & experience of the human judges. India’s President, Ram Nath Kovind, had launched an app that works with the help of AI to convert an judicial document in English into 9 other Indian languages. This app is called SUVAS, the acronym for Supreme Court Vidhik Anuvaaad Software. 

Modelling the Artificial Intelligence Development 

This particular part states that artificial intelligence will change the values of the existing Judicial System. This is perceived that artificial intelligence usually follows the codified rules & offers justice accordingly while ensuring fair justice. When a human judge is giving a judgment, human emotions can sometimes influence the written rules. Thus, AI is surely emerging as one of the mightiest technologies that will considerably reduce the overall workload of legal professionals. This will also help in the overall development of the value and create a cycle of self-reinforcement. 

Change in the legal system  

This particular part says that artificial intelligence surely will bring in a major change in the overall values in the existing Judicial System. One can say that artificial intelligence strictly follows all the necessary codified rules & provides fair justice accordingly. This is emerging to be the biggest technologies which will considerably reduce the legal professionals’ workload.   

Concerns while using judgments made by AI 

The usage of artificial intelligence in the judicial system will change the way of living, but this leads to a level of dissatisfaction in certain cases. There may be concerns like incomprehensibility, disillusionment, datafication & alienation. Each of these concerns majorly throws light on the various aspects of human lives like adaptation, trust, participation and understanding. Artificial intelligence can probably disrupt every known work by giving them new decision-making technologies. This will resolve the issues in various manners and will be different in ways familiar to humans. However, there may be certain major concerns that are discussed below: 

Incomprehensibility – In the present times, artificial intelligence essentially lacks logical reasoning & does not have a mind. It completely works on basic programming. However, it is expected that artificial intelligence will have logical reasoning shortly, but AI's decisions can be incomprehensible to laymen. This sense of incomprehensibility can probably reduce the overall accountability of the judiciary system. So, the challenge is that an AI system will have to be developed for the interactive future. In this way, the incomprehensibility will get nullified to a great extent. 

Datafication – Artificial intelligence has become more dependent on past experiences. A human judge usually learns many more things as he grows older but artificial intelligence will remain the same all through life.
